William and Mallory had their first date in February 2022. Prior to the date, phone numbers and social media information was exchanged. Interestingly, they discovered that they already had each other's phone numbers and have been friends on Snapchat since November of 2017!

On their first date, they were determined to solve this mystery. As it turns out, they were both living in Chicago in 2017 and both moved back to Des Moines around September of 2018!

While they can't pinpoint the exact circumstances of their initial meeting in Chicago all those years ago, they are incredibly grateful that their paths crossed! Some may see it as a mere coincidence, but they prefer to believe it was fate.

From there, they started dating, bought a house, welcomed 2 lively dogs into their home, and embarked on a move halfway across the country together.

On Christmas Eve, surrounded by Mal's family, Will gathered the courage to ask her to marry him. And, of course, she said, "Yes!"
